As I lost my 150 pounds one of the byproducts was being colder and colder! Do you have a down comforter? That has been my salvation!

Glad to have found your blog. Take care!

brrrr... Sounds like you'll have to crank that heater up. Where I live we don't have a choice (they have to physically disconnect the swamp cooler and hook up the heater in fall) and we've had two frosts already. Heat is good. If I had it, I'd turn it on!

I'm not sure if 25 lbs would do it, unless you don't have much to lose. I've lost 140, and I really don't feel the cold as much as I thought I would. I'd be more inclined to think it was a change in how the neighbors are heating their place.

That said, I also have to say that this year (which is colder than usual) I'm really enjoying my fluffy sweaters!

I know what you mean. I rarely turned the heat on when I lived in an apartment Mass! In fact, I sometimes had to crack a window. Everyone's heat seemed to rise and I never thought much about it other than the occasional "yay ... I'm saving money!".

It's probably the weight loss. I know that now that I've lost weight, it's a different ballgame. I'd wear just a hoodie in the freezing snow and not really be bothered overly much but now it's 50 degrees and I think I'm freezing if I'm not bundled up and I still have a lot to lose.

Hope you find a cheap way to warm up soon!

I need a bathhouse. I'm freezing. I realize that I lived my whole life in Michigan, but I'm telling you one year in the North Carolina climate did it. Now anytime it drops below 60 degrees I sit and shiver. Brrr.

I don't know where you live, but if you happen to live near a coed bathhouse, you might LOVE it! There's a great Russian bath here in Seattle. People of ALL sizes us it ... it's not as intimidating as it sounds!

I've actually thought about that cold thing a lot, and I definitely think it's related to your weight loss. I don't know about you, but the fatter I got, the easier the heat affected me. It only makes sense that it works the other way, too.

Anyhoo, stumbled on your blog courtesy of Sue, and I think I'll keep on stopping by if you don't mind. I see some of my struggles in the few posts I've read so far, regarding doing it alone and what-not. My family and best friends are supportive, but they're in other states. And my boyfriend's supportive, but he's one of those guys that can eat like crap and not exercise, and still stay thin, so he has precisely zero motivation to exercise with me or eat well. He tries, but... Therefore, all of my food and exercise choices are 100% on my shoulders. Makes it tough some days, but not impossible!

Anyhoo, best of luck in your efforts!

It might be the weight loss. I'm only a little over 35 pounds in, but I find myself getting cold much more easily as well. We're losing all that insulation!
