You sound pretty positive for a post labeled "disappointed" :) Keep up the healthy outlook, and I agree with Brook and April, I don't think 1200 cal is enough for you. If you were on weight watchers, you'd probably get around 34 points per day (I guessed your height/age when calculating) at your current weight. This equals roughly 1500-1700 cal per day. As you lose, your points allowance goes down (I only get 20 points per day, but I eat my exercise points, so I end up using 22-24 per day). Plus WW gives you 35 bonus points to either use or not during the week.

Your body needs fuel to run. It's like a car, if there is no fuel, it will stop and so will your weight loss because your body thinks it is starving and will hold onto everything it has to survive. If you are exercising, you may also need to up your calories a tiny bit. I would strongly recommend you talk with a doctor or nutritionist to determine a healthy intake for you. We want you to be successful, but we also want you to be healthy.

I"m with Brooke, on this one. Did a doctor tell you that 1000 calories is all you need? In everything that I've studied, you should be eating nothing less than 1200 unless recommended by a doctor. You can email me if you want to talk about it further. I love talking about this stuff!!

But seriously, just keep at it! You'll see results soon! We're all in this together!

0.2 is not bad considering what you have been going through...what matters is your progress over time and you are definitely making that! Keep going, girl! Push through this.

@Brooke -- No, I get 1,200 calories a day. Yesterday was just a very, very bad day and I had to force myself to eat that much. I usually try to stay around 1,200. I sometimes go below but then make sure to compensate the next day. I won't go more than one day below 1,200 and am usually right around 1,300.

Girl, you've been doing so well, and .2 is NOT bad! I've gained sooo much more in a week before. You'll get on it for next week and will probably lose the most on our team! You've still got it. :) GO PEACH!

1000 calories is all you get for the day? that sounds super low. could that be the reason you're not losing any?

i know it sounds crazy, but it wasn't until the SSJ girls convinced me to up my calories (from about 1200 to 1700) that i started seeing results.
