I’m not talking a small cup of black coffee with some non-fat, sugar-free creamer. No, I want the sweetness and creaminess of a yumminess that I call a morning treat. The plan that I created when I was not craving something of this magnitude of deliciousness allows me to have one each week. I haven’t had one in two weeks. I’ve decided today’s the day. I ate breakfast accordingly. I made plans with my sister to go downtown to my favorite coffee shop to savor my special treat while sitting outside in the glorious sunshine.
And savor each drop I will. I will order a non-fat (I usually do). I don’t get whipped cream — because I don’t like it. But, I will get the Mexican mocha powder. I won’t get a pastry to go with it, though, because I don’t really want a pastry. I just want to sit and enjoy every last drip and drop of that yummy, delicious, coffee.
And that is quite alright as far as I’m concerned.
If I have to not drink coffees that I’ve driven through a stand and sucked down in the car so I can enjoy the experience of coffee in the sun with my sister once a week I’ll give it up in a heartbeat.
It’s better to enjoy and prosper.
