I’m doing a lot of new things lately. All good.
This morning I woke up a bit early and pulled up an exercise video on my VOD and did it. I then did 1/2 of another one. I only did half, becaues the video was annoying me. But, WOOT, I did something.
Last night I found this new computer software for tracking my food, exercise and weight. I downloaded it at home and started playing with it. I really like it. I tried using FitDay but the user interface wasn’t very appealing to me. I like the colors, graphs, and charts of DietPower and really it’s all about what you use. I’m doing the 15 day trial to see how that works before I buy the full version. But, so fart I’m really liking it.
A few really neat things about it.
So far I’m loving this. I do have to say that one bad thing is that it’s based on your computer and not online. But, they do have a simple “travel bag” function that allows you to e-mail the file to yourself so you can keep the file on two computers. I think this will work for me. Of course, if they had a blackberry app it would be perfect.
But, I can use one of my other bberry apps to track food when I’m not at a computer.
I know you’re saying why would you buy some fancy program that you can do yourself. Well, I’m a tech junkie. The more techy the more likely I’ll do it. Plus, I’m an accountant so give me charts and graphs and we have a recipe for winning. I need the ball in my court. I need all the help I can get to keep me on track. So, if a techy program will do it then I’m there.
And, I’m still worried about tonight. My friend is showing up any time now and we’re going to lunch then meeting everyone downtown for the evening. I ended up missing the other two lunches I was supposed to go to (I wouldn’t have eaten at both LOL) so I’m doing a little better than I would have. I should probably have a snack now, though, so I’m not so hungry when I get to the restaurant.
Wish me luck… (for many reasons 1. I could really use a few new clients and 2. I really want to stay on track this evening but stay satisfied).
